See Nine Design Group in a Dell Computer Ad!

Check out designs by Nine Design Group in Dell's Black Friday newspaper advertisement!   The below remodeled kitchen, caught the eye of an advertising scout.  The original plan was to photograph the owner's family in the kitchen only (using Dell computers, of course!), but after seeing the work Nine Design Group did throughout the home, they included the dining and living rooms.

Thanks to our wonderful clients for sharing the spotlight with us.  If you would like to make your home camera ready, contact Nine Design Group today.  Who knows, it might just get discovered!

Boy's Basketball Room

Designing for kids (especially older kids) can be challenging.  Sometimes what they want in a room (lime green walls, monkey bars or everything to be zebra print) isn't always attractive practical.  We recently got a call from a mom who wanted to make her 10 year old son's room a place he would not only love now, but one that he could easily grow into.

During the initial phone call with Mom, we uncovered some of the boy's wants and "needs".  One thing she told us was that he loved basketball.   In fact, he actually had a basketball goal in his room.

With that information, the challenge became to make a basketball themed room that was sophisticated enough to carry him through his teenage years and would also be appealing to Mom.  The answer....keep the main walls a neutral gray (for Mom) and have a feature wall painted to look like a giant basketball (for him).  We selected just the right color orange for the basketball and carried it around the room with athletic inspired stripes.  (Sorry, we don't have pictures of the rest of the room.)  The thick black stripe is actually chalkboard paint (kids love it) where he and his friends can draw or write notes.

The room was a big hit.  The boy's reaction when he saw the basketball wall..... "AWESOME!".  Mom was happy too!

If you would like help designing an "awesome" space for you or your child, contact Nine Design Group today.

Kitchen Hearth

A new hearth is the focal point of this kitchen mini-remodel.  The clients chose to keep their existing cabinets and flooring. We updated the oak cabinets by simply painting them white (although new cabinets were added to the hearth area).   The color in the existing tile floor allowed us to incorporate the client's favorite color, red, on the island.  The travertine tiles wrap the interior of the hearth.  New granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and a fluted farmhouse sink are some of finishng touches to this bright and airy kitchen remodel.

Walking on Sand in a Master Bath

In this master bath remodel, we removed the carpet, wallpaper, cultured marble countertops, oak cabinets and shower.

To stay within budget, we kept the existing tub, but framed it with tile for a built-in feel.  We raised the countertops and added a built-in laundry hamper next to the tub.  The client says that the new floor tile make her think she has escaped and is walking along a sandy beach.  We are now working on a window valance and artwork to keep her on vacation when relaxing in her new master bath.

Gorgeous Master Bath Remodel

On this master bath, the husband was attempting to do much of the work himself.  After two years of an inoperable bath, the couple called and asked for design assistance.

The results are dramatic.  We added travertine for warmth and beauty.  New cabinets added much needed storage.  A larger, frameless glass shower expands the room.  Mosaics on the floor, in the shower and on the tub backsplash provide a wow factor.

Small changes add $100,000 in value!

Our clients asked us to help them update the kitchen on a new home they had just purchased.
